Sade was both personable and professional right from the get-go. She offered us an introductory package about the Aldo Udovicic sales team and gave us a presentation on the buying process, as this was our first time as home buyers.  This introduction proved valuable during our entire hunting process.  Sade made it easy in keeping the lines of communication open, so we had no problem in telling her exactly what we liked/didn’t like in the first homes we had looked at. As she got to know my husband and I better (in such a short period of time!), she knew which areas and what houses to look at so as not to waste anyone’s time.  Andrew & I have two small children, and so juggling our schedules around them as well as our careers proved difficult at times. Sade was very flexible and understanding in our frustrations with this matter and juggled her schedule (as much as she could) around us to help alleviate this stress.

Sade also offered us contact names of lawyers, brokers, etc. There was no pressure to use any of these contacts, but she offered any information and advice she knew about the contacts and the roles they played in us purchasing a house.  Although our experience with our broker was a rocky one, it was no fault of Sade’s, but she made sure that our frustrations were heard and then known amongst her team. In the end, Andrew & I felt that our concerns were dealt with and that everyone had done their job to the best of their ability.

We had made a couple of offers on houses- this is probably the most stressful part of buying a home.  Sade kept us in the loop the whole time and never left us sitting around at any length wondering what was going on.  When we made the offer at 167 Wolverleigh, Sade’s phone had died before she could tell us any news. It was late at night, and yet, she drove across the city to tell us in person that our offer was accepted! 

We are now a few weeks into being home owners.  We have not yet officially moved in as we are up to our ears in renovations.  When we had first walked through this house, we shared with Sade the potential this house had to be “ours”. She expressed her own thoughts and ideas, but said she knew that we had found a house that had the character to be our home.  We can’t wait for Sade to come back and see what we’ve done- she’ll know what I am talking about when I say that we’ve been “smashing” things up.  I hope in the future Sade can visit once in awhile, not just to stay updated on all of our house projects, but because we got to know her as well and think she’s pretty great.

I still remember that evening when we first me Shannon. Her professionalism and the way she presented the overall home buyer process blew us away. She also mentioned that the budget that we had was a good one and it is indeed possible to find a house within Toronto which would fit our requirement.

We had been renting for the past five and half years and after a long deliberation we decided that it was about time that we owned a house in GTA. However the initial phase wasn’t easy. All we knew was to get a pre-approval from the Banks in order to start the process.
